 THE SELF When we are younger, we know not of the pain and trials this world holds. We are happy without needing a reason. Simple things give us joy. We think anything is possible and have ‘wild’ dreams. As we grow older the world begins to wear us out. We get to see the imbalance. We get to see that not all things go how we want them to. We go through pain, hurt, criticism and unfair circumstances. Then gradually our smile fades, our dreams die and our hearts numb. We begin to go through life searching for happiness, searching for fun yet when we were young it was as simple as entertaining oneself. We begin to have a need to have a reason to keep on. A meaning. We change the more we experience life and it’s issues. But the more we become numb the more we lose thy selves. When I found Christ at my lowest and let him carry my burden he began to reform me.
