IT’S CALLED FAITH

“This is how you manifest the life you’ve always wanted, every day act like you have the life you’ve always wanted , speak it into existence and the universe will give it to you”

The statements may be a brief summary of the Law of attraction and manifestation according to the worldly perspective. I wish to now look at it at a Christian perspective.

Every dream we have is given to us. Why is one person’s dream different from another? Because we all have different purposes hence the dream placed in you is different from mine. We often think we dream to be this and that to have a perfect life. Yes, it is perfect when you fulfil your purpose. Our fulfilment is found in our purpose and our dreams serve as guides towards that purpose. 

We didn’t come knowing our purpose but as we continue living we go on discovering it. Over time, with different circumstances, our dreams get refined. You start getting to know this works for you and this doesn’t. You start  to understand what to incorporate in your dream and what not to. You start seeing why you have to let go of a certain thing in your dream and add another.

The real thing is you can’t fully figure it out by yourself. Because you found yourself here on earth.You didn’t create your self. What is made would not know why it is made unless it asks the maker / creator. Only the creator or the maker would know why they made what they made. Just like how man would know the purpose of what he has made e.g tables, chairs, phones etc, so does God know the purpose of what He made e.g you, me, lions, crocodiles etc.  You wouldn’t know the purpose of a crocodile because you didn’t create it. Just like you wouldn’t know the purpose of a phone if the one who made it didn’t explain why he made it. 

So in the same way God is the one to tell us our purpose and it’s not a one time thing, it is a continuous process. We need to be in fellowship with Him to know and understand what He is showing us about ourselves. GOD KNOWS US BETTER THAN WE KNOW OURSELVES.

We begin to understand our dreams and desires as our hearts are right with God. We begin to see the life we dream of is part of our journey towards fulfilling our purpose. So now, it’s not a matter of manifesting, it’s a matter of believing and having faith that it shall come to pass not because the universe is conspiring to align things for you but because God placed you here to receive it!

FAITH- “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

Hebrews 11:1 NIV

Even when things around us do not seem to show us the life we dream of, we continue to pray and be in fellowship with God for our hearts to be right with him. Have faith that what He revealed to us, through what He had placed in our hearts, will come to pass. Not our works but His. Not our glory but His. Not manifesting but Faith. Not the universe BUT GOD.
