 I LOST A FRIEND!

She was a shade of blue

Born in a storm and she was not meant to stay long

She saw me and decided to stick around

I watched her

Her aura was at 1000%

She was fearless

She was calm

She was spontaneous 

She had a distant spark of danger

Nothing got the best of her

She was fierce

When her anger seethed, they kept their distance, almost as if they were scared 

Not me though 

I saw her

She was beautiful 

She was incredible

Or so I thought

She began to detest me

I think she wanted to do away with me completely 

She would say, “It wasn’t that bad”

I would ask “ but did it hurt? did you feel scared? unsafe? were you embarrassed? did you feel confused on why? do you avoid being in a similar situation? did you want to cry? who told you it wasn’t that bad?”

She would hold me to silence

Never looked my direction until I went with her flow

She wanted me to take her word for it

But now I see

She wasn’t fearless she was cold

She wasn’t calm she was numb

She wasn’t spontaneous she was maniac

Her distant spark of danger was no longer distant 

She was spiralling 

No one saw it but I did and she hated me for it

She was never really insane except on occasions where her heart was touched

And all I strived for was to touch it

I told her to put her fiery coat down as she was no longer walking in the fire

She was no longer in the storm

But she developed a taste for blood while she was licking her own wound

She could not do without

And that’s when I realised she was not meant to stay long

She was the fire

She was the fiery coat 

And so I had to put her down

But I loved her

She was beautiful 

I know her

Her music

Her taste

Her insanity

I remember her like she was a part of me

And she was.
